What a week!
We have had a fantasic week in Silver Birch. We all enjoyed our fantastic hook trip to Lulworth Cove where our guide, Alex, showed us the wonders of Stair Cove and Lulworth Cove, helped us re-enact the formation of the stunning Jurassic coastline and pointed out hidden fossils and dinosaur footprints. After lunch, we enjoyed creating beach art depicting some of the natural disasters we will be learning about during our 'Tremors!' topic. I would like to say another huge thank you to all of the wonderful parent helpers who joined us on the trip.
Also this week, we enjoyed examining and classifying the fantastic rocks sent to us by the National Geological society, leading us into the science element of our topic learning for this half term.
Welcome to Silver Birch!
Myself, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Seaton are so happy to welcome the new year 3s to Whitechurch base and the year 4s back to Silver Birch class! We are really looking forward to exploring our new topic - Tremors! - with the children and can't wait to kick it off with our exciting trip to Lulworth Cove.
We have enjoyed a fantastic first week back, learning the routines and making new friends.
