At Dunbury, our enrichment programme is carefully designed to provide a broad and progressive range of experiences that strongly support pupils’ personal development. We recognise that education extends far beyond the taught curriculum and are committed to ensuring that every child benefits from meaningful opportunities that enhance both their school and wider life experiences.

Through a wide range of enrichment activities, children are encouraged to develop their interests and talents, work collaboratively, and take increasing responsibility for their actions and contributions. We want our children to step forward as leaders with their own ideas and aspirations for their school and beyond, and have the courage to try new things.

Our enrichment programme is inclusive by design, ensuring that all pupils, including those who may face disadvantage, are able to take part fully. Children participate in competitive sports events and music or theatrical performances. Clubs within school are designed to meet the needs of all children; from those who yearn for more quiet, reflective social experiences like chess club to those who love football and dodgeball.

A strong feature of our enrichment provision is the opportunity for pupils to make a positive contribution to society. We are passionate about enabling children to serve others and develop a sense of social responsibility. Pupils regularly take part in activities such as:
