Welcome to Dunbury Church of England Academy
We are delighted that you have chosen to send your child to Dunbury. They will be part of a friendly, caring and inclusive school community.
Below is a list of useful information which we hope will help you and your child prepare for the new school year.

What time does school start?
Gates open at 8.30am until 8.45am. Registration closes at 8.50am.
Should I come into the classroom?
No, please drop your child at the gate and we will take them into the classroom.
What if my child uses school transport?
The bus will drop your child at school and be met by the class teacher.
When can I talk to the teacher?
If you have any urgent concerns, please contact us using the class email address. If it is concerning collection changes, please copy in the Office.
What happens if my child is unwilling to settle?
It is best to have a short routine and hand your child over to the class teacher. Prolonged goodbyes are often more difficult. We are happy to call you once your child has settled if it would reassure you.
What happens at the end of the day?
Collection from school is at 3.10pm.
Can my child bring toys to school?
We ask for toys not to be brought into school. We have plenty of resources to engage children.
How do I know what is going on at school?
Parents will receive a weekly email and there is a parents' evening every term.
